Bat houses, like bird houses, are simple wooden structures hung in trees to house bats. "If enough people did that in the neighborhood, they wouldn't have to worry about insecticides and spraying because the bats will take care of that for you," Hanna said.

FPL will be mailing a letter informing customers that an FPL authorized line clearing contractor will be working in your neighborhood (see map) in the coming months. This notification also states that “if trees or vegetation on your property require trimming away from power lines, a contractor representative will contact you, either in person or by leaving a notice on your door, 1 to 4 days prior to work beginning”.

Honorable Mayor and Commissioners:

It is my privilege to present the proposed budget for fiscal year 2011 for your review, as is my duty under the City Charter.

The July 1st Taxable Value Report for the 2010 Tax Roll was released today. The DR-420s and related information are being mailed today. Copies of the 420s, CRA information, Use Code Summaries and the updated non-ad valorem recaps on the Broward County Property Appraiser website later today.
